Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13th, 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country music singer and songwriter, whose stories of young heartache achieved widespread success in the early 20th century. Swift began to show an enthusiasm for the industry of music from a very young age. The trajectory of her career was rapid from children's play roles, through her first appearance on stage in front of thousands. As Swift sang The Star-Spangled Banner in front of an Philadelphia 76ers match at the age of 11. She was already writing songs. In the following year, she began playing guitar. Swift, who took her inspirations from Shania Twain's music as well as the Dixie Chicks now known as The Chicks in the world of country music, created the songs of her own to convey her feelings of alienation. Swift's parents moved her to Tennessee at the age of 13 after selling their Pennsylvania farm. It enabled Swift to devote more time trying to find labels that would promote traditional music from Nashville.
