Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn is an American actor from the United States. Her most famous role was as Skyler in the drama series of AMC, Breaking Bad. She won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding supporting Performance on a Drama Series for 2013 and 2014. In addition to playing Martha Bullock and Jean Ward as well, she was a part of The Practice. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in 1968. She fell in love performing in Preparatory School prior to moving to Ohio with her family in mid-70s. She studied theatre at Northwestern University, and spent one semester at British American Drama Academy. Anna spent a few seasons performing in Chicago theatre before moving on to film and TV roles. In 1992, Anna got her first major character in the role of Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. Anna continued appearing in films and television shows like Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and other shows until the end of 1990's. She was then cast in The Practice as Jean Ward. She was cast as Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons throughout the decade of 2000. Skyler appeared in Breaking Bad (2008). Sully as well as Deadwood was another film she appeared in. Gunn played in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers, a production produced by David Schwimmer. Gunn also appeared in the four-part podcast audio drama called Numbered Days, which was made available in 2022. The relationship between Walter White and his wife Skyler is usually the main focus of the narrative in Breaking Bad with the strained connection between them and the eventual end of their relationship mirroring the same arc of Walter White's last years of life.
